When an image comes out well, it gives me satisfaction, even if it comes from using some clever technology like Prisma. This is a shot of the fountain in Tavisuplebis Moedani (Liberty Square) in Tbilisi. The image was put through the Prisma “electric” filter on my android phone, which uses some clever AI, I felt satisfied with the result.

This week’s challenge is Shine (click the link for other interpretations).
When I saw the challenge, I thought of the very shiny St George on his column in Liberty Square, Tbilisi. A monument I see almost every day, here with and without a star filter effect.
I was caught in the rain this evening at Tavisuplebis Moedani (Liberty Square) but it did allow me to get this shot, which I quite like.
For this week’s challenge Mirror (click on the link to see other interpretations), I submit two photos of reflective surfaces found here in Tbilisi (capital of Georgia)
St George reflected
On a clear sunny day in Tavisuplebis Moedani (Tbilisi), the monument of St George is reflected in the rear window and shiny boot of a Mercedes.
The bridge over the Mtkvari river reflected in the mirror like waters.
Untitled number 15
Like Untitled #14 this picture was taken of the St George Column in Tavisuplebis Moedani with a fountain in the foreground. But this is taken from the opposite side using the larger fountain set up in 1957 behind the Pushkin monument. I like how the decoration of the column mixes with the form of the fountain.
There is a fountain I pass most days in Liberty Square (Tavisuplebis Moedani), taking my granddaughter to school. I have been playing around with different angles of view. If I get down low, I can have St George and his horse on top of the fountain. Here the hydraulic arm of a fire truck looks to be impeding the flow of the water…which is in fact responding to high gusty winds…
At Sadguris Moedani (Station Square) I heard a twittering above me and saw all these sparrows in a tree.
These sparrows I spotted while waiting for a bus at Liberty Square in Tbilisi.
Sparrows on a branch
I had to crouch down to get this shot so they would be silhouetted against a grey sky and not a messy background of buildings.
…and here a single sparrow isolated by cropping from his friends on Twitter 😉
someone left some bread at Tavisuplebis Moedani (Liberty Square)…making it easy to photograph the sparrows that frequent the square.
My favourite season, full of hope and new life…
