Outside our block in Varketili (Tbilisi) is a water fountain.
On a hot summer’s day it is a magnet for thirsty children.
But it is not just children drawn to the cool water.
Horses get thirsty too, and not just mammals but also our avian friends, the little sparrows like to take a sip now and then.
I’ve seen dogs drinking here, too. But have yet to get a photo.
resigned to getting soaked
There is a lot of fun to be had taking water related pictures.
This is my second post for this week’s challenge, I didn’t entitle it “H2O2” because that would be lethal… for other interpretations of the challenge click here: H2O
Untitled number 15
Like Untitled #14 this picture was taken of the St George Column in Tavisuplebis Moedani with a fountain in the foreground. But this is taken from the opposite side using the larger fountain set up in 1957 behind the Pushkin monument. I like how the decoration of the column mixes with the form of the fountain.
the first shot I posted was unedited, on this one I boosted the colour saturation and also the contrast….which do you prefer?
