In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Symmetry.”
Dry Bridge over the Mtkvari River in Tbilisi. The bridge is roughly 160 years old, and it was designed by the Italian, Giovanni Scudieri. The best fleamarket in Tbilisi can be found on the bridge and surroundings: Drybridge Market
One word, superb!
Well, never heard of Tbilisi, that’s the second thing you taught me today. Well, the first was a reminder.:)- Sounds like an interesting place to be!
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, the Mtkvari is the longest river in Georgia. There is often confusion because the country shares the same name as a US State. Thanks for commenting we can learn from each other.
How old is this bridge? I like your symmetrical reflection!
This is Dry Bridge, the bridge is roughly 160 years old, and it was designed by the Italian Giovanni Scudieri. I chose it for the symmetrical reflection and the symmetry of the arches…
Yes, brilliant choice. The bridge design reminds me of ancient Roman bridges. Thank you for the information 🙂
I’ve done a lot of travel over the years, but never made it to Georgia — well, the US state I did. 🙂
Going and living in another country certainly provides a new bunch of photo opportunities and I’m loving what you are capturing. All the best from Brisbane, Australia.
Thanks. I lived in Australia for a while (6 months in the bicentenary year), I loved Northern Queensland around Kuranda in the rainforest….I didn’t see Brisbane, only flew over on the flight from Cairns to Sydney.
Nice photo
Thank you 🙂
Beautifully caught!
Lovely!
Awsome..
