Renault 16 TS, Ghia L6.4 and Jaguar E Type
In a nutshell, a three-picture story is a way to help you think about storytelling with images. To create a three-picture story, gather:
- An establishing shot: a broad photo of your subject.
- A relationship: two elements interacting with one another.
- A detail: a close-up of one part of your subject.
The brief stumped me, so I just took some photos of these three lovely old Corgi cars. There is a terrific nostalgia buzz with these models, the Ghia I found in a antique/junk shop in York in 2011. The Renault and the Jaguar, I found to my surprise at Drybridge market in Tbilisi, the local fleamarket. The models were all made in Great Britain in the mid to late sixties (probably at the Mettoy factory in Swansea).

Sparrowhawk
I saw this guy waiting for a bus with this hawk on his gloved hand. He got on the bus with the bird, not sure how the other passengers reacted, I got on a different bus.

Zaporozhets
I saw this Zaporozhets near Tbilisi Central Station, sightings are becoming increasingly rare of this small Ukranian made car which resembles a little an NSU Prinz. Ladas and Volgas are still plentiful here.
Reading in Georgian: ჭრიჭინა და ჭიანჭველა
ჭრიჭინა და ჭიანჭველა or “The Grasshopper and the Ant” is a tale of two insects.
The grasshopper has a carefree attitude; spending the days singing and lazing around. The ant is hard working storing up grain for the Winter ahead.
The story is quite predictable, the winter comes and the ant is warm and has plenty to eat, whilst the grasshopper is shivering from cold and hungry.
It all ends happily with the ant inviting the grasshopper in out of the cold and the grasshopper promising to work the following Summer.
I hope I will reach a level soon where I can read more interesting books. These book have nice illustrations but the stories aren’t exactly page-turners.
